Fundamentals

AI fundamentals, for people who run a business.

Start here if the vocabulary is the problem. These are the explainers: what the words actually mean, what the technology can and cannot do, what it costs, and what European law requires of you. No prior technical knowledge assumed.

Most of what is written about AI for business is aimed at people who already know the vocabulary, or is written to sell something. These posts are aimed at the owner of a small or medium business in Europe who wants to understand what is actually on offer before spending money on it.

The through line is that the interesting questions are not technical. What does this cost, who is accountable when it goes wrong, what does the EU AI Act require, and how do you tell a real system from a demo. Those are business questions, and they are the ones these posts answer.

This is one of three pillars. Once the vocabulary is clear, the implementation posts walk through real systems end to end, and commentary covers what is actually changing in the research. All of it points back to what AI implementation looks like for a business on Mallorca.
